Living Spaces
As a much-loved family home of the 10th Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and their four children, Dabton House has been restored sensitively to retain the many comfortable shared spaces in which to gather and unwind.
The Perfect Welcome
From the spacious and welcoming entrance hall to the elegant dining room with space for 22 guests, Dabton House provides a sense of occasion without feeling too formal. After dinner, guests can retire to the period drawing room with its baby grand piano, enjoy a few frames of snooker in the games room, or just relax with a good book in the library.

Country Escape
We have everything you could possibly require for a fabulous escape to the country, from our well-equipped domestic and commercial kitchens, to a relaxing sauna and treatment room, wood-panelled boot room and gun safe. There are also three external secure, heated dog kennels.
THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION
Home to so many glorious family get-togethers over the years, our refined dining space retains the original chinoiserie style wallpaper, hand painted by Margaret Scott and lovingly restored by Alistair Peebles as part of our recent renovation project. The centrepiece of the dining room is the table, designed and crafted by Kevin Murray of Character Joinery.

HOME FROM HOME
Our well-appointed house kitchen adds substance to all this style, from the bean to cup coffee machine that will make any early starts more manageable, to the bread maker and double air fryer. For catered dining, the fully equipped commercial kitchen is available for a private chef.
Work and Play
Deriving its name from the Duke of Buccleuch’s former PA, Pat Hunter’s Study was Pat’s office for many years. With its large boardroom table this is the perfect space from which to work or host meetings on your company retreat.
And when the day’s adventures are done, you can retreat to the quiet library, relaxing sauna, or arrange a restorative massage through our directory of local suppliers.
